Madrid (EFE).- The Ministry of Culture has acquired for 110,000 euros the work by Joaquín Sorolla y Bastida “Taking the habit”, a gouache and gouache on paper, which will go to the Sorolla Museum in Madrid, owned by the state.
As published this Friday by the Official State Gazette (BOE), the Ministry of Culture exercised its right of first refusal on the work that appeared in the catalog of the public auction held in the Ansorena room in Madrid on December 14, 2022.
Among other works of art, Cultura also bought the painting “View of Alcalá La Real”, by Jenaro Pérez Villaamil, for 80,000 euros, at the same auction, a work of art that it will deposit in the Museum of Romanticism.
