Barcelona (EFE) family and school of the minors, one of whom died while the other remains hospitalized.
As sources close to the investigation have informed EFE, the Mossos are also analyzing the two handwritten letters that the minors left at home, before they rushed from the balcony of the house, located on the third floor and in which in those moments was the father of minors.
After the Mossos ruled out that there were indications of criminality, and that the main hypothesis was suicide, the investigations are now focused on determining what was the motivation that led the two minors to rush from the balcony, where the Catalan police found two chairs they would have climbed on.
Open all hypotheses
To determine this motivation, the investigators from the Manresa (Barcelona) police station keep all the hypotheses open without closing the door to any cause and, for this, they are tracking the lives of the two girls, originally from Argentina, and residents of Sallent with his parents for about two years.
Within these lines of investigation, the agents are investigating whether the twins suffered bullying, although the Department of Education ruled out yesterday that there was bullying in this case, if there were sexual identity problems or if there are any difficulties in the family environment, to try to determine in this way what was the motivation that led the minors to rush from the balcony of their house.
The Ministry of Education reported yesterday in a statement that the girls “received psychological care at the educational center and special monitoring by a counselor due to their family and social situation.”
Likewise, Education indicated that the minors “were being cared for and received follow-up by the City Council’s social services and that one of them had been referred to the public mental health services (CESMIJ).”
Until the agents conclude the investigation, they will not close the police report, which will later be forwarded to the Manresa court.
Around six in the afternoon last Tuesday, the Catalan police received notice of the event that occurred in Estació de Sallent street, and when the emergency services arrived they could not do anything to save the life of one of the two minors.
Her twin sister was able to be stabilized at the scene, and later transferred to the Parc Taulí hospital in Sabadell (Barcelona), where she remains hospitalized in serious condition.
