Santiago de Compostela, Feb 22 (EFE).- The authorities are investigating the appearance this morning of two large boats similar to those generally used for drug transport on two beaches in the Coruña municipality of Ribeira, police sources reported on Wednesday.
The two boats with powerful engines and twelve meters in length, of the glider type, appeared abandoned on beaches, one of them in the Espiñeirido area and the other in O Vilar, on the coast of the Barbanza region.
One of the inflatable type boats has a flat part apparently from a possible puncture or tear on the starboard side.
Police sources told Efe that finding two boats of these dimensions abandoned on beaches is an “unusual” situation that specialized agents are now investigating.
