Moscow (EFE).- Alerts about alleged air raids interrupted the transmission of several Russian radio stations on Wednesday morning, the work of some hackers, according to the country’s authorities.
“Attention, attention, threat of missile attack” was heard on the stations of the cities of Belgorod, on the border with Ukraine, Stari Oskol, Ufa, Kazan, Nizhny Novgorod, as well as in the Moscow region.
The message, which the Russian authorities attributed to a hack, also asked listeners to hide in a shelter “immediately”.
“Following a hacker attack on the servers of several commercial radio stations in some regions of the country, an announcement was broadcast about an alleged air strike and the threat of a missile attack,” the Russian Emergencies Ministry reported in his Telegram channel.
The message added that it was “false information that does not correspond to reality.”
Likewise, the Emergency department asked the Russians to be guided only by official information.
Meanwhile, the authorities of the cities where the alert was issued reported the launch of separate investigations to clarify all the circumstances of the event and find those responsible.
In particular, in the Voronezh region, where the false alarm was broadcast on the waves of Relax FM, they claimed that it was a “provocation by the accomplices of the Kiev regime.”
