Santander, Feb 21 (EFE).- Cantabria this morning registered 22 forest fires spread over the mountains of 14 municipalities in the region, of the 23 that have occurred since 7:00 p.m. this Monday.
The municipality most affected by the fires is Vega de Pas, with six active fires, according to information from the Government of Cantabria updated at 8:00 a.m.
The rest are located in Vega de Pas (6), Soba (2), Luena (2), Miiera (2), San Roque de Riomiera, Selaya, Mollledo, Los Tojos, Riotuerto, Ruesga, Ruente, San Pedro del Romeral, Valderredible and Villacarriedo
The vast majority of the fires are located in high areas and the most important are in Valdició, Saja and Luena.
In just one night, a sixth of all the fires that have been recorded in February have been registered, which already amount to 146.
