Valladolid (EFE).- The Valladolid Seminci International Film Week seeks a new direction and applicants for this position must have at least five years of experience leading international festivals, according to the bases of the call published this Tuesday .
Candidates must also present a direction, management and administration project for a festival that is seeking a replacement for the previous director, Javier Angulo, and which will celebrate its 68th edition from October 21 to 28 with India as the guest country.
The deadline for submitting applications will be extended from February 22 to March 13, so it is possible that Seminci knows the new director at the end of March or beginning of April, that is, six months before the next edition.
Despite this vacancy in the direction of the festival, its organization has not suffered a decline due not only to the permanent management for the arrival of content and preparation of the main competitive sections, but also to the permanent dedication of its team, sources have informed EFE from Seminci.
Javier Angulo, who announced his resignation on December 21 after fifteen editions (2008-2022), promised to continue working while waiting to deliver all the work done for the next edition to the new management.
In front of several members of the selection committee, who have already visited other contests to search for content and guests, Angulo is currently in Berlin for the celebration of his film festival (Berlinale). EFE
