Barcelona (EFE).- Designer Adriana Manso has achieved an international boom with her plastic rings and accessories, which are ostentatious, colorful and extravagant. The Catalan has made ‘La Manso’, a brand that has only been around for three years, become a trend in the world of fashion and entertainment, with its sights set on Latin America.
Since Rosalía, Dua Lipa, Miley Cyrus, Nathy Peluso, Bad Gyal or Bella Hadid have worn their designs, ‘La Manso’ products, especially their rings, have been seen everywhere and have managed to capture the interest of celebrities and international stylists.
“There is an interest and an approach to the product, either they buy it, or they ask me and I am delighted,” Adriana Manso explained to EFE from her workshop in Barcelona.
Thanks to the particularity of its products and the materials it uses, the interest of artists or designers has allowed it to carry out different collaborations. “It’s the path I’m following now and I really want it,” admits Manso.
According to her, the external vision of the brand is very different from the one she has herself. While from the outside her work is seen as a project that has achieved many things “in a short time”, the designer affirms: “I have worked on it a lot from the inside, and it has not seemed to me so little time, nor so strong the success”.
It all starts with a “hobby” that would later become her jewelry brand known as La Manso. Her attraction to her jewelry comes from a very young age, and especially her taste for plastic: “I liked it a lot since I was a child, it allows you things that other materials do not.”
The desire to undertake was also key to the birth of ‘La Manso’, thus becoming a very personal project for her.
With a workshop located in the central Plaza Real in Barcelona, Adriana Manso has a great team of workers to bring her new designs to life and jointly produce the brand’s products. There her new designs and her collaborations with different artists are created.
From the workshop to the street, with Latin America on the horizon
Right now and until the end of February, ‘La Manso’ has a physical point of sale near his workshop in Barcelona, thanks to his latest collaboration with the Jean-Paul Gaultier brand, which he takes advantage of to exhibit many of his their designs.
“There is a lot of interest in having more physical presence,” admits the creator, who is already exploring promoting markets “that are taking longer to arrive,” such as Latin American countries.
“La Manso is me”, this is how Adriana Manso sums up her great jewelery business, because she believes that although it may seem like another jewelery brand, “it is much more personal and special”. With her rings, the designer expresses her personality and how she sees the world, since her products reflect the Catalan in her purest state. EFE
