Madrid (EFE).- The sale of homes closed 2022 with an increase of 14.7% and close to 650,000 operations, the highest figure registered in Spain since 2007, despite the fact that a drop in the price was already observed in December 10.2% in a context of rising interest rates and more expensive financing.
With the increase registered in 2022, the sale of homes adds two years of increases after the falls in 2020 (-16.9%) due to the paralysis caused by the pandemic and 2019 (-2.4), according to data released this year by the National Statistics Institute (INE).
Since the historical series of this statistic began, 15 years ago, the largest number of sales occurred precisely in 2017 with almost 780,000 operations.
