Logroño, (EFE).- The new chief commissioner of the Local Police of Logroño, Héctor Ruiz, has expressed this Thursday his “firm” commitment so that this body adapts to the “changing” needs of today’s society, since ” public services must be up to the task”.
The mayor of Logroño, Pablo Hermoso de Mendoza; and the Councilor for Coexistence, Eva Tobías, have participated in the presentation of the new chief commissioner of the Local Police, which took place in the portrait room of the Logroño City Council.
Ruiz recalled that he entered as a Local Police officer 27 years ago, “with pride and with the promise of faithfully fulfilling the duties that this position entails.”
He has asked the political representatives to have confidence in the staff of the Local Police, to assume a “firm and determined” commitment to public service and the general interest so that “the police project is not frustrated with each change of municipal government ”.
He has also asked his colleagues that the routine of daily work does not make them forget “what is important and essential” of their work, since “the Local Police have shown true excellence in emergencies, but it must be done on a day-to-day basis , with the quiet and sometimes unpleasant work”. EFE
