Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Feb 16 (EFE).- The Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism has granted the Carnival of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria the title of “International Tourist Interest Festival”.
The Official State Gazette publishes this Thursday, February 16, the declaration, approved by the Secretary of State for Tourism.
The mayor of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Augusto Hidalgo, and the councilor for Carnival, Inmaculada Medina, are scheduled to appear before the press on the Santa Catalina stage to assess the scope of this statement.
The Carnival of the capital of Gran Canaria, which is already in full swing of its 2023 edition, had already achieved the category of Festival of National Tourist Interest in 2017. EFE
