Madrid (EFE).- Taxpayers with incomes of less than 27,000 euros per year can request a 200-euro check for vulnerable families from today until March 31, according to the information available on the website of the Tax Agency.
The aid, approved by the Government in the latest package of measures to alleviate the effects of the war in Ukraine, will be available to individuals with up to 27,000 euros of annual income in 2022 and with assets of less than 75,000 euros per year as of December 31 of that year.
In addition, to be entitled to the check, the beneficiaries will have to have a habitual residence in Spain and have carried out some activity on their own or someone else’s account in 2022 that has led to registration with Social Security or mutual benefit, or have received some unemployment benefit or subsidy.
However, recipients of the minimum vital income (IMV) or pensioners will not be entitled to the aid.
The aid, for which the Government has provided an item of 1,200 million euros and which is expected to reach 4.2 million households, will be paid by bank transfer by the Tax Agency.
Without providing documentation
Potential beneficiaries will have to request the aid through an electronic form on the Agency’s website -for which they will need to identify themselves with Cl@ve PIN, electronic certificate or electronic DNI-, where they will enter the NIF of the applicant and the people who live at home (except minors under 14 without ID) and a bank account to make the payment.
It will not be necessary to provide any documentation, unless consent to consult the register of unmarried couples is denied, since the Tax Agency will collect the necessary information from Social Security and other public bodies.
In the event that the Tax Agency verifies that the user is not entitled to the aid, they will receive a notification and from that moment they will have 10 days to present allegations and documents.
The regulations provide for the transfer to the Basque and Navarrese institutions of the amounts corresponding to the NIF of the possible beneficiaries who are domiciled in those autonomous communities.
The new aid aims to improve the scope of the 200-euro 2022 check -which only reached 600,000 of the 2.7 million people expected- with a simpler application procedure and a higher income threshold (it goes from 14,000 to 27,000 euros ).
