Washington, (EFE).- Former US ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley formally announced on Tuesday her candidacy for the Republican nomination for the country’s Presidency for the 2024 elections.
Haley, also a former governor of South Carolina, made her announcement in a video posted on her social networks where she noted that “Republicans have lost the popular vote in seven of the last eight presidential elections. That has to change.”
In this way, Haley currently becomes the only Republican who has stepped forward to contest the Republican presidential candidacy of former President Donald Trump (2017-2021), who already announced his intention to run months ago.
