València (EFE).- The vice president and councilor for Equality, Aitana Mas, has stated after her election as head of the Compromís list for the regional elections for the Alicante constituency that she “will work to death” for “a third Botànic”.
But, in a video posted on his Twitter account, he appreciates the support received by the militancy to “revalidate trust” in him.
The vice-president and spokesperson for the Consell prevailed yesterday by the minimum -with a difference of 87 votes- over the spokesman for the coalition in the Alicante Provincial Council, Gerard Fullana.
“I will work to death, just as I am doing in the vice presidency,” Mas assured, while encouraging them to go for “the third Botànic, which we have just around the corner.”
Mas also points out that they have been months of “many efforts”, but also of “incredible enthusiasm and motivation”.
“We arrive at the next elections with the best possible team and the baggage of these eight years of government,” he stated, and encouraged the goal of the third Botànic to be achieved.
Gerard Fullana thanks the mobilization
For his part, the spokesman for Compromís is the Alicante Provincial Council, Gerard Fullana, congratulating Mas and thanking the great mobilization of the militants from the municipalities of Alicante.
“Now begins the great challenge of being the winning force,” Fullana added.
The spokesperson for Compromís in Congress, Joan Baldoví, who yesterday obtained the support of 93.9% of voters in the primaries as the formation’s candidate for the presidency of the Generalitat, has stated that he was “overwhelmed” by the result.
Baldoví has also assured that he will do everything in his power to repay that support and has stated that his commitment will be to work “hard to improve the lives of the five million Valencians.”
