Seville (EFE).- The 37th edition of the Goya Awards is held in Seville with a gala attended by nearly 3,000 people. The award distinguishes the best of Spanish cinema over the last year, is divided into 28 categories and arrives marked by the death on Friday of filmmaker Carlos Saura, to whom homage is paid with a posthumous Goya de Honor.
The Goya red carpet began at 6:15 p.m. this Saturday with dozens of Spanish film fans who came to see, ask for autographs and take photos with the artists who have already begun to arrive, some of them wearing badges demands on the short film sector.
The actress Susana Córdoba has been the first to arrive at the Sevillian venue and walk through the carpet that in its last section this year is blue, like the Goya 2023 poster, and through which all those attending the gala.
Among those most claimed and applauded by the attendees, who have benefited from somewhat milder and less cold weather than the day before, were the actress Macarena Gómez and her husband, Aldo Comas, both -as usual- with striking vestments.
Those responsible for the team behind the pacifist animated film “Unicorn Wars”, the director of the Basque film “Irati”, Paul Urkijo, the actor Marc Clotet and the Basque filmmaker Fermín Muguruza have also arrived early.
Workers with down syndrome accompany the artists to the entrance to the Andalucía Auditorium, where numerous media await them.
