Ourense, 6 feb (EFE).- The active forest fire registered a few months ago in the Ourense municipality of Muíños affects already 100 calcined hectares, part of them within the Natural Park of Xurés.
According to the last part published by the Consellería do Medio Rural, the fire, which is still active, originated about 18.00 hours of the sun in Portugal, in two different outbreaks, and in the Galician part affects the parish of Prado de Limia, in Muíños (Ourense).
Seven agents, two technicians, ten brigades, seven motor pumps, a helicopter and two technicians participate in its control.
Sources from the firefighting services have assured that the fire, which yesterday had more than a kilometer in front, affected an integral reserve, of high ecological value and with restricted access.
This is the second fire in a few days in the area of the Xurés natural park, since a few days ago there was another fire in the Calvos de Randín area, also from Portugal, to which is now added the one in Muíños.
