Noja (EFE).- A sinuous and colorful “N” will be the brand image that accompanies the development of the Noja Tourism Sustainability Plan, with the aim of symbolizing the potential of nature, beaches, mountains and marshes of the municipality.
The new logo was presented this Tuesday at the Palace of the Marqués de Albaicín in Noja by the Minister of Tourism, Javier López Marcano, and the mayor, Miguel Ángel Ruiz Lavín, who highlighted the importance of the project for the future of the municipality.
This tourist plan has been supported by the work carried out in this legislature on recurring aspects for Noja such as sustainability, the environment and the ecological transition.
The mayor has assured that this document will allow the appearance of the natural parks and trails to be “transformed” thanks to the 3.5 million euros received with this plan.
For his part, the counselor stressed that one of the basic criteria for awarding sustainability plans is “competitiveness”, a feature that appears in the project presented by Noja which he described as “solid and strong”.
The axes of the tourist plan of Noja
The Noja Tourism Sustainability Plan revolves around four axes and has 25 actions.
The first, called “Green and sustainable transition”, contemplates a plan for the network of footpaths and pedestrian paths, the project for the reorganization and urbanization of the Trengandín-El Brusco promenade, the plan for actions for the environmental improvement and recovery of the Coastal path in its section between Trengandín and Los Pinares de Noja and the cycling network.
The second line of action focuses on improving energy efficiency, within which the renewal of the air in public buildings, the Noja Mobility Plan and the accessibility plan for the town will be carried out.
The axis on the digital transition is one of the ones that includes the most actions, such as the municipal strategic plan, the marketing and brand strategy plan, the creation of a Smart Office, a Municipal Tourism Council and the improvement of cargo capacity in matters of tourist resources.
The fourth and last chapter, called “Competitiveness”, has as outstanding projects the rehabilitation of the hermitage of San Pedruco and that of the Casona de El Carmen and its surroundings.
In addition, it is planned to improve the facilities and rooms of the Palacio de Albaicín, as well as provide them with more content, and a program will be developed to consolidate ruins into historical elements.
The Minister of Tourism recalled that this year’s call for access to aid for tourism sustainability projects is open until March 6.
He has detailed that, so far in Cantabria, 59.3 million euros have been allocated to these plans, promoted by the Ministry of Tourism with European funds.
