Toledo (EFE).- The president of Castilla-La Mancha, Emiliano García-Page, has lamented the “show” of recent days with the law that only yes is yes, and has asked that “hopefully it will take a little while to rectify” because rectifying is wise.
García-Page has referred to this controversy, when the PSOE is going to register alone in the Congress of Deputies its proposal to reform the Law of Comprehensive Guarantee of Sexual Freedom promoted by the Ministry of Equality and known as the “only Yes is yes”.
This reform proposal will not have the signature of Unidas Podemos as the negotiations this weekend between the two government partners have not prospered.
“I feel sorry because we have debates in Spain in which everyone thinks in one way, but some understand that politics is their beach bar, their market,” said the Castilian-La Mancha president.
In addition, he has asked himself: «What happens, that it is good because it is yours? As good or as bad as reality itself.
Page recalled that he is a “always” militant of the PSOE and that he is “very clear that a political party, whatever it is, is a means to achieve things, not an end in itself, not because a socialist does it is well done and because one of the PP does it is wrong ».
“This goes beyond any ideology”
“This goes beyond any ideology, and there are some, even ministers, who think that as they have done it, as it is theirs, it is from the left, well, no, what comes out of Parliament can be tremendously reactionary,” assured the regional president.
And he has also criticized that the Podemos ministers think that “everyone who disagrees is already an enemy” because “that is not how you advance, that is not how you go anywhere.”
“It’s okay to be wrong, it’s great to be able to admit at one point even when you’re wrong,” Page said.
In his opinion, if the only yes bill is yes, “instead of being the idea of a Podemos minister, it would have been a PSOE minister, with what is happening and the released rapists, they were mobilizing us in the street and they were calling us all over the place”.
