Logroño, (EFE).- Some 300 people have demonstrated this Sunday through the streets of Logroño to demand that hunting dogs be included in the Animal Welfare Law, since “same dogs, same law”, as has been chanted during this initiative, replicated in another 44 Spanish cities and 18 international ones.
This demonstration was presided over by a large banner from the organizing organization, the No Hunting Platform (NAC), which read “No hunting with greyhounds and other breeds”.
Next to it, another banner from the entity Anima Naturalis “For the defense of all animals”; the Galgos 112 association, with a “No hunting”; and a fourth from Collaboración Animal La Rioja.
This initiative has started from the Plaza del Mercado in Logroño and has crossed Portales street to Bretón de los Herreros to stop in front of the Government Delegation in La Rioja.
There, the march has remained concentrated and has vindicated between shouts: “It is not sport, it is murder”; “They are not hunting dogs, they are house dogs”; and “In a sport both parties play”.
After the stop at the Government Delegation, this demonstration has concluded in its starting place, the Plaza del Mercado, where the general coordinator of NAC La Rioja, Belén Igea, has read a manifesto.
