Valencia (EFE).- The president of the Generalitat, the socialist Ximo Puig, has wondered if the PP has also invited the former presidents of the Generalitat to the Intermunicipal meeting held this weekend in Valencia.
Puig has made this statement in reference to Francisco Camps, accused in the Gürtel case, and Eduardo Zaplana, accused in the Erial case, when asked about the PP meeting, in which Alberto Núñez Feijóo will be accompanied this Saturday by the former presidents of the Government José María Aznar and Mariano Rajoy.
“The PP is for what it is, and we are in what we are, working for the majority, defending a public health system that they privatized and plundered, defending the interests of the majority, while they defend their interests,” he said. during a visit, together with the Minister of Science and Innovation, Diana Morant, to the Incliva Health Research Institute.
The president has criticized “the immense stain that the PP caused for the Valencian Community” but, he said, “fortunately Valencian society has come out of that tunnel and we are now in a space of coexistence, cohesion and dialogue. Going back to the past is not a recipe for Valencians».
PUIG: THE PP SHOWED WHAT IT IS CAPABLE OF FOR 20 YEARS
Asked by the president of the PPCV, Carlos Mazón, he recalled that for 20 years “they have shown what they are capable of” and the Valencian Community “is not going to trust again who did so much damage.”
«We are in management, in improving people’s lives; they to theirs, we to everyone’s », he reiterated.
Regarding the incorporation of the ex-syndica of Ciudadanos Ruth Merino to the economic team of the PP, Puig has affirmed that each party demonstrates with its actions “its ethics and how it understands democracy” and each one must also assume them from its responsibility.
Faced with this, the Socialists “are not in the electoral campaign or in the power struggles” in which the PP is, a party that “the only thing that tries is to dirty the atmosphere because it knows that it does not have an alternative project for the Valencian Community », he pointed out.
