The municipal spokesman for the PP of Logroño also spoke in this regard in his speech at the round table “Present and future of municipalism”, together with candidates for other Spanish mayors’ offices, within the PP Intermunicipal, which is being held this weekend in Valencia, and which is also attended by the president of the PP of La Rioja, Alberto Galiana
Escobar has reiterated his commitment to return “to the path of consensus, to live the city, to moderation in the face of outdated radicalism,” reported the Municipal Group of the PP of Logroño in a note.
He has ensured that, at present, “the Sanchismo from Logroño (referring to the local government, chaired by the socialist Pablo Hermoso de Mendoza) has blown up agreed projects in the city to impose the model of Colau (mayor of Barcelona) on our streets ”.
Escobar has expressed his intention to “recover Logroño for the people of Logroño, to recover the policy of common sense, service and good management. We are going to make Logroño together”.
He has highlighted his commitment to large city projects, which “remain over time thanks to consensus.”
Escobar has cited the hallmarks of the city: Logroño as part of the Camino Jacobeo, as the capital of the Rioja Qualified Denomination of Origin, as one of the greenest cities in Spain and which extends around the Ebro River.
Finally, the candidate has mentioned some of his proposals to respond to the concerns of the inhabitants of Logroño.
Among them, lower local taxation by 10% for companies and families; activate and promote the Camino de Santiago as it passes through Logroño and the Ebro River or promote an accessible housing stock for young people.
Among his proposals, he has also cited facilitating access to industrial estates; expand urban transport services; and support our business so that it becomes the watchword of the city again. EFE
