Logroño, (EFE).- The president of the Government of La Rioja, Concha Andreu, has accused the PP of using battered women “who deserve all respect” for electoral purposes.
Andreu thus responded to one of the questions put to him by the Popular Group in the Parliament of La Rioja, about his opinion of the Law of the only yes is yes, which “has very positive aspects for society and for women » and that «if in some aspect it generates undue results, it has to be changed».
But “women who suffer violence deserve all the respect, so as not to use them for electoral purposes as you do,” he stressed, referring to the PP, “they deserve all the respect so as not to agree with the extreme right that denies gender violence, like you do.”
The president stressed that it was her party that promoted the first regional Law for the protection of women victims of violence “something in which we were the only community that did not have and it was a shame that we dragged as a region and the only culprit is the PP».
From the Popular Group, its spokesman, Jesús Ángel Garrido, has demanded that Andreu demand that this Law be changed immediately “so that this nonsense ends as soon as possible” since “374 criminals have seen their sentences reduced, two of them in La Rioja, one of them the murderer of the Lardero child” and “the Law was approved knowing that this was going to happen.”
The president has also answered a question from the Popular Group on the development of the Education Law, which has been made in La Rioja with a process of listening to the educational community in the face of “noise for electoral interest” made by the PP, has accused again
“We are the first community to publish all the curriculum development decrees, an ambitious training plan has been created and a computer application has been designed to facilitate programming and evaluations,” he explained.
Andreu who has assured that in this process “the only thing I miss is the opposition” and has defended that his Government sees it “as a matter of state, instead of using it in an electoral way”
Garrido, in this matter, has reproached Andreu for “providing a chaotic start to the course” and “has destroyed public services like never before, especially education” for “his distrust of teachers, families and subsidized centers ». EFE
