Algeciras (Cádiz) (EFE).- The couple found dead in a house in La Línea de La Concepción (Cádiz), was in the process of separating, sources from the investigation have informed EFE.
Both, a 64-year-old Italian woman and a 65-year-old man of Swiss nationality, had resided in Spain for years, according to the same sources. The National Police is investigating the couple’s death on the hypothesis that it is sexist violence and that the man would have shot the woman and then committed suicide.
The bodies of both were located around 5:30 p.m. yesterday after a neighbor alerted the emergency services that he had heard shots in the house, located on Narcisos street in the La Alcaidesa urbanization, an area inhabited by neighbors high purchasing power, many of them foreigners, close to golf courses and the beach.
If it is confirmed that it is a case of sexist violence, it would be the seventh woman murdered by her partner or ex-partner so far this year.
