Madrid (EFE).- Six communities -Andalusia, Aragon, both Castillas, Catalonia and Madrid- continue this Wednesday on yellow alert (risk) for minimums of up to 8 degrees below zero, reports the Meteorological Agency (Aemet) on its website.
Castilla y León has a yellow level due to cold temperatures of up to 6 degrees below zero in the provinces of Ávila, León, Segovia, Soria and Zamora, especially in areas close to the Central System, the Cantabrian Mountains and Sanabria.
In Castilla-La Mancha, Ciudad Real, Guadalajara and Toledo they continue at a yellow level due to intense cold with minimums that will drop to 8 degrees below zero in Parameras de Molina and between 4-6 degrees below zero in La Mancha in Ciudad Real and in the Guadiana and Tagus valleys.
The Community of Madrid is on alert for lows of 4 degrees below zero in southern, Las Vegas and western areas; Aemet notes that the threshold will be exceeded mainly in the southern and southeastern valleys.
In the northeastern half of the peninsula, Aragon has a warning for lows of 6 degrees below zero in the Huesca Pyrenees, Albarracín, Jiloca, Gúdar, Maestrazgo and in Iberian Zaragoza, while in Catalonia temperatures will range between 1-6 degrees below zero in the pre-Pyrenees, Pyrenees, Aran Valley, Ampurdán and in the Lleida depression.
Andalusia only maintains the yellow notice in the province of Córdoba due to minimums of 1 degree below zero in the Cordoba countryside.
Aemet warns that with the yellow alert there is no meteorological risk for the population in general, although there is for some specific activity.
