Toledo (EFE).- A total of 19 sexual offenders have seen their sentences reduced in Castilla-La Mancha and one of them has led to the release of the convicted person with the application of the “only yes is yes” law, according to data from the Superior Court of Justice of the region published to date.
By provinces, in the Provincial Court of Albacete four revisions of sentences have been requested at the request of a party, which have been resolved without reduction of sentence, while another 29 ex officio revisions are in process.
The Provincial Court of Ciudad Real, in the absence of receiving the data from Section 1, has reported the data from Section 2, where there are 24 requested reviews, 8 of them at the request of a party and 16 ex officio.
Of these, a total of nine have been resolved, six of them without reduction and three with a reduction in the sentence of between one and two years in prison, in addition to another fifteen sentences that are under review.
In Guadalajara, a sexual offender has been released after reducing the sentence
The Provincial Court of Guadalajara has notified, for its part, ten revisions of sentences with reductions in sentences of up to two years in prison, and of these, one has led to the release of the aggressor by passing his sentence from six to four years.
In the Provincial Court of Cuenca, three reviews have been requested at the request of a party, of which two have been resolved, one in which the sentence has gone from 12 to 10 years in prison, and another without changes, while a sentence is in process
And for its part, the Provincial Court of Toledo, in its 1st Section, has processed five reviews requested at the request of a party, which has resolved three without reduction of sentence and two with it, without any release.
In Section 2, there have been four reviews requested at the request of a party, resolved one without a reduction in sentence and three with a reduction in sentence, one in which the sentence goes from 10 years and 1 day to 5 years and 10 months; another from 11 years to 10 years and 6 months, and a third in which the sentence goes from 6 years and 1 day to 3 years, 6 months and 1 day.
