Madrid, (EFE).- The Prime Minister, Pedro Sánchez, announced this Tuesday that, in 2023, the interprofessional minimum wage (SMI) will rise to 1,080 euros gross per month in 14 payments.
This was confirmed during his speech in the Senate, after the Second Vice President of the Government and Labor Minister, Yolanda Díaz, met with the General Secretaries of the UGT, Pepe Álvarez, and CCOO, Unai Sordo, a meeting that has declined to attend the CEOE.
The unions demanded a rise to 1,100 euros, while Díaz advocated the high band of the expert committee report that proposed a rise for 2023 of between 4.6% and 8.2%.
