Álvaro Vega I Córdoba, (EFE) , although it also left some notes of color.
For the launch of the new firm, designed for the internationalization of the creations of Tania Jiménez Cantero, who gives precedence to her mother’s surname in her business name, she chose “a compilation of all the collections that I have presented”, as she told EFE minutes before from the beginning of the parade between the last rehearsals of the models and the last notes of the scenery.
A collection of just over twenty designs to launch Cantero Imperium, which was attended by a small number of guests, less than a hundred, without celebrities and with a limited political presence, three municipal representatives.
Necklines, transparencies, fluids and neoprene
“The collection is based a lot on the fact that you can wear a party dress with heels, with Conver sneakers, with military boots, with a jacket, without a jacket,” the creator describes her work.

The hangar of the official training center of Corflight School, an aviation pilot school with two decades of experience, located at the Córdoba airport, and which lent one of its aircraft to form part of the parade scenery, displayed the characteristics of Tania Cantero’s creations, such as the large necklines, the transparencies, the use of flowing fabrics and neoprene.
The designer, who this year celebrates the first five years of firm dedication to the world of fashion, does not like to define Cantero Imperium. For her “it is a host of things” because “dresses are valid for everything, to wear them during the day, at night, however you want.”
Personally, as a creator, she outlines herself as having “a rock style, we could say, I’m a big fan of black, although with some touches of color, but very black, very rock,” she insists.
His is entirely vocational. “Actually, I have always liked this world, since I was a little girl,” he underlines, “but in an ‘official’ way about 2018 when I began to present myself to the first fashion contests and from then on until here.”
Asia and Oceania as targets
His baggage so far goes through “the presence in many parades and in many contests” and in having been a finalist “in almost all of them”, although “I have not yet won any”, something that has brought him, in any case, ” a lot of experience regarding parades and what the girls want today ».

The future looks good. What’s more, he conveys his optimism despite the high competition and competitiveness of a sector where Córdoba has been generating a pool of great creators and creators in recent decades who have triumphed inside and outside of Spain.
And that is because this future “I want to see it well, we are trying to get out of Europe a little, export to Asia and Oceania, there where we have our sights set a little and, if everything goes well, we will see each other there soon”.
And why fix your commercial objectives in those areas of the planet? Sources around her have specified to EFE that it is due to the taste of the women who inhabit those regions for the way of dressing of the Europeans, the continent where Tania Cantero now operates, mainly in Spain.
The creator chose the Córdoba airport facility, topical this week as the call for next Thursday of the table that brings together the Administrations to try to value its facilities with commercial flights that it does not have now was announced, because “the new The brand had to take off and what better than an airport”.
National Fashion Awards
The ‘Imperium’ part of the qualifier that is added to the brand to her second last name, her mother’s and which is the one she uses as a stage name, is “a bit silly”, she admits, “because as a little girl I always said that I wanted to having my own empire when I was talking to my parents and it seemed like a very good opportunity to put it as a brand ».
Tania Cantero, who studied Fashion Design and Industrial Pattern Making and is now expanding her knowledge at the Purificación Velarde Pattern Making and Tailoring Academy, has sewing as a means of expression and is presented to her as a faithful reflection of her concerns, desires and hopes, recognized, among other cases, with his selection as representative of Western Andalusia at the National Fashion Awards of the Fashion Creators Association of Spain (ACME).
