Lviv (Ukraine) (EFE).- The Ukrainian authorities announced today that a Russian attack against the town of Kostiantinivka, in the Donetsk region (east) left three fatalities this Saturday and at least two injured.
“Three civilians were killed and at least two wounded in a rocket attack by the Russian occupiers this morning in Kostiantinivka,” Pavlo Kyrylenko, the Ukrainian governor of the region under partial pro-Russian control, reported on his Telegram account.
“The Russians fired into a residential area and damaged four apartment buildings, a hotel, garages and civilian cars,” he added, noting that the rescue efforts have not been completed.
According to the Ukrainian agency “Ukrinform”, over the last 24 hours four civilians have lost their lives in the Donetsk region, the scene of heavy fighting.
Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelensky said yesterday that the situation on the Donetsk front continues to be “extremely serious.”
“The occupiers are not only storming our positions, but are deliberately and methodically destroying the surrounding towns and villages,” the president stressed in his daily address.
