Prague (EFE).- The presidential candidate of the Czech Republic, former president of the NATO Military Committee, Petr Pavel, delivers the speech after the second round of the Czech presidential elections at his electoral headquarters in Prague, Czech Republic.
Pavel defeated former Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babis in the second round. The former general received 57.78 percent of the vote compared to 42.20 percent for Babis, the Prague statistics office reported.
Pavel, 61, will be the fourth president of the Czech Republic, a former communist country that has elected its heads of state by popular vote since 2013.
