Lugo, Jan 28 (EFE).- Río Breogán passed the roller (99-67) against a critical Granada, which committed many losses (25), especially in the first period, had little success and allowed easy baskets to a rival who he made them profitable and that he came to have a maximum advantage of 44 points in the final stretch of the third quarter.
It is the tenth consecutive defeat for the Andalusians, who have not won since they added the fifth of the season against Breogán (80-70) in the first round, and it is the ninth victory for the Lugo, getting closer to the main objective, permanence, after not having been able to access the Copa del Rey.
The MVP of the previous day in the Endesa League, Ethan Happ -although it did not help his team to commit Real Madrid-, turned the locals on with a ball from behind to give Lukovic the assist and put the 8-4 in the scoreboard of the Pazo, where the people from Granada did not take long to disconnect after a good initial staging.
The partial of the lucenses fattened to a 10-0 that put the 12-4 (m.5) in the electronic and led to the dead time of Pablo Pin. The coach’s interruption was useless because his team then made a loss and the set increased to 16-0 (18-4), with five turnovers by the visitors in less than five minutes.
Breogán did not hit shots from three, but he did not need it. With one hundred percent shooting from two he made up for his errors from the 6.75 line (3 of 9) and extended the set to 23-0 (25-4, m.7). Ndoye woke the people from Granada from their lethargy five minutes later, but the first quarter ended 29-17, with no losses for Mrsic’s team and no mistakes on two and free shots.
The gap grew to twenty-two points (38-16, m.13) with a triple by Nakic in the second quarter and a 9-4 run. Pablo Pin asked his team for a head, who responded on the court with a mini partial of 0-4 that angered Veljko Mrsic. With the losses of the Andalusians and the shots released, Breogán signed a 13-0 and went even further, 31 up (51-20, m.17).
Granada was going for 16 losses -it reached 17 before the intermission, 6 by Renfroe-, Bamforth punished with a triple and the advantage reached 35 points after the first error in free practice (57-22, m.19), a distance that remained at halftime (59-24).
If the Andalusians considered reacting, Breogán began the third quarter with a three-pointer from Hollatz and another from Momirov (65-24, m.22) that placed the Lugo team’s lead at 41. Mike Moore then scored the first from Granada throughout the game and so did Costa (67-30).
The visitors were intoned with a 0-8 partial that was cut short by the injury of one of the referees. The locals once again placed themselves above the 44 advantage (83-39, m.30) that Costa made up with a three-pointer before entering the last ten minutes.
Granada, with Renfroe recovered from his lousy first quarters, took the last act (16-25), without tension in Breogán, whose income finally stayed at 32 points -all the players scored- and on the verge of 100 in the Pazo marker.
