Madrid (EFE).- The Spanish economy closed 2022 with growth of 5.5%, the same rate as the previous year, despite the fact that all forecasts pointed to a slowdown in the economy due to an international context of great uncertainty marked by the consequences of the war in Ukraine.
According to provisional National Accounts data published this Friday by the National Statistics Institute (INE), national demand (consumption and investment) contributed 2.8 percentage points to growth and external demand (exports and imports), 2.6 points. .
As for the fourth quarter of the year, GDP registered a slight increase of 0.2%, one tenth more than in the three previous months.
