Madrid (EFE).- Except for Extremadura and the Canary Islands, the rest of the communities remain on alert due to cold, snow and waves, with Aragon and Catalonia in orange, due to significant meteorological risk, with temperatures of up to -10 degrees in the Huesca Pyrenees, and in Girona there will be 5-meter waves, while the snow level will remain low in much of the north of the country.
In yellow, with meteorological risk also although lower than the previous one, due to cold, snowfall and/or maritime storms, there are also: Andalusia, Asturias, the Balearic Islands, Cantabria, both Castillas, Galicia, Madrid, Murcia, Navarra, País Basque, La Rioja and Valencian Community.
According to the predictions of the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet), on its website, in Aragon, where the situation will soften from morning, minimum temperatures of -10 degrees are expected in the Huesca Pyrenees, and it will also be very cold in the center of Huesca, with minimums of -4 degrees, as in Zaragoza in the Cinco Villas area.
Also in that community, in Teruel. Very low minimums are expected, up to -6 degrees in Albarracín and Jiloca, Gúdar and Maestrazgo.

In Asturias, snowfall will persist in the mountains and Picos de Europa, with accumulations above 800 meters, of 12 centimeters in 24 hours.
Likewise, in the Basque Country precipitation in the form of snow will accumulate 2 centimeters above 500 meters, and up to 5 centimeters in La Rioja, in 24 hours, where temperatures will also be very low, up to -6 degrees in the Iberian areas.
It will continue to snow in Cantabria, inland, in areas such as Liébana, the Villaverde valley or in the Ebro area.
Castilla y León will register very low values, around -6 degrees minimum in almost the entire community, in addition to snowfall in Burgos, which will accumulate 2 centimeters thick at levels between 400 and 500 meters in 24 hours.
In Catalonia, the four provinces are under a yellow warning due to cold, snow and maritime storms; In Barcelona, the thermometers will drop to -8 degrees in the pre-Pyrenees and the accumulation of snow will be 2 centimeters at levels that will rise from 400 meters to 600, with maritime storms on the coast and waves of up to 3 meters.
In the case of Girona, the waves will reach up to 5 meters in the Ampurdán area, and the minimum temperatures will be up to -10 degrees in the Pyrenees, also in Lleida.
Likewise, in the south it will be cold; in the interior of Andalusia, lows of up to -4 degrees are expected, especially in areas of Granada, Malaga and Cordoba; on the other hand, in the Balearic Islands there will be maritime storms, with waves of 4 meters.
It will also be cold in Castilla-La Mancha, Galicia, Madrid, Murcia, Navarra and the Valencian Community on the coast; in the mountains of Cuenca the minimum values will be up to -6 degrees and it will drop to these levels in the Galician mountains of Ourense, in the Navarrese Pyrenees or in the Madrid mountains.
