València (EFE).- Agents of the National Police have arrested a man in Mislata (Valencia) as the alleged perpetrator of a crime of attempted homicide and another of ill-treatment in the family, after allegedly trying to kill his partner and injuring a young man who came to his aid with a large knife.
The events occurred around 1:45 p.m. last Tuesday, the 17th, when the police officers were commissioned by the 091 Room to go to a local bar where apparently there was a couple fighting, reports the National Police.
When the agents arrived at the premises, agents of the Local Police were holding the alleged attacker, who was wearing a blood-stained shirt and was in a great state of nervousness.
Argument over jealousy
The 38-year-old man of Colombian origin told the agents that he intended to kill his partner out of jealousy.
The National Police found out that the couple started an argument in the bar, and at one point the man took a large knife from inside the bar and chased the woman to the local bathroom, where she took refuge in fear of being attacked.
A young man who was in the bar came to the aid of the victim, struggled with the assailant until he managed to disarm him, and in the confrontation he was injured in a finger.
The assailant was hit by a car while fleeing.
Seeing himself unarmed, the assailant fled by running out of the premises and was accidentally hit by a vehicle when crossing the street.
Finally, the man was arrested as the alleged perpetrator of a crime of attempted homicide and another of violence in the family environment, being transferred to a health center to be treated for the injuries suffered.
The arrested man, without a police record, has gone to court, the same sources have indicated.
