Pamplona, Jan 21 (EFE).- Osasuna’s coach, Jagoba Arrasate, has stated that his team is “close to its best version” after improving its performance in the last two league and Cup matches against Mallorca and Betis, respectively .
“We come from a great game, but from then on we already thought about Elche. We are focused on the fact that tomorrow we have a difficult and important match”, Arrasate indicated in reference to the cup match on Wednesday in Seville from the Albir Garden sports complex in L’Alfàs del Pi, where the team is concentrated due to the storm of snow from the past few days in Navarra.
The coach has branded Elche as “brave” and has anticipated that, “surely”, they will play with two “very offensive” lanes. “They have arguments in attack to hurt any team, so tomorrow we will need that defensive solidity”, he added.
“We know that Elche is a good team, they have good players and that they have just played a good game. We do not trust them at all and to get the results we must be 100% ”, he warned about the Elche team, last classified in the First Division.
“We are all aware that Elche is going to win games. Another thing is that he gives it to save himself, because he is in a complicated situation ”, he has opined on the moment of his rival, whom he still does not consider dead.
Osasuna will require “legs, mentality and people who are at 100%” so as not to accuse the physical load of the 120 minutes plus penalties that they had to face at the Benito Villamarín against Betis.
“We know that they are going to go with the knife because they understand that it is one of the opportunities to get hooked and we see that it is a great opportunity to get a victory. I expect an attractive match”, stated the one from Berriatua.
