Madrid, Jan 21 (EFE).- Real Sociedad, with goals from Ander Barrenetxea and the Norwegian Alexander Sorloth in the first half, beat Rayo in Vallecas, in the match corresponding to matchday 18 of the Santander League, and tied in qualifying with Real Madrid, second in the table.
The Basque team took the lead after fourteen minutes when David Silva recovered a ball after a Rayo throw-in, started the run towards the area and assisted Fran García’s back so that Sorloth finished low before the departure of Stole Dimitrievski.
Before the break, Real Sociedad extended their lead on the scoreboard. He did it after a corner kick from the left that Aritz Elustondo extended at the near post and at the second, completely alone, Barrenetxea pushed for a goal.
