Pamplona, Jan 19 (EFE).- The snow continues to fall heavily in Navarra, where traffic conditions continue on various roads of the main and secondary network, including the A-15, which is closed early in the morning northbound at kilometer 112 (Irurtzun) and southbound in Gipuzkoa.
The N-240-A Pamplona-Vitoria road, at kilometer 6, has also been cut off since 07:05 due to a road accident and the use of chains is mandatory on the N-135, Pamplona-France via Luzaide/Valcarlos ) from kilometer 7 to 66, informs the Government of Navarra.
In the secondary network, seven highways are closed: the NA-137, Burgui-Isaba-Francia (Puerto de Belagua); NA-2011, Salazar-France (Port of Larrau); NA-2012, Four Bordas-Irati; NA-718, Estella-Lizarra-Olazagutia (Urbasa Port), between Zudaire and Olazagutía; NA-1740, Irurita-Eugi (Port of Artesiaga); NA-138, Pamplona-France through Alduides (Puerto de Urkiaga) and the NA-7510, San Miguel de Aralar.
Likewise, the use of chains is mandatory on the NA-140 Auritz/Burguete-Isaba (Puerto de Laza).
Throughout the night and early morning snow thicknesses of between 5 and 10 cm have accumulated in the Pamplona basin, which increase to the north and are much greater towards the Pyrenees.
The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) maintains the orange alert in the Central Zone and the Cantabrian slope of the Foral Community until 5:00 p.m. today, Thursday, and extends the orange alert until 11:59 p.m.
In the region of Pamplona, urban transport has begun to provide the service normally, with the exception of the following lines: L14-Artica, which does not go as far as the town, and L20- Gorráiz and L23-Olloki, which only go as far as roundabouts at the entrance to those towns. However, little by little, the delays have become widespread on all lines, the company reports.
